About the Role
Every beautiful home at PlanMyPlot must stand on solid engineering. Structural Engineers on our team provide the analysis, column-beam layouts, and foundation recommendations that make our architectural designs safe, economical, and buildable.
This is an ideal role for a junior structural engineer who wants hands-on exposure to diverse residential projects — from G+1 villas to multi-floor independent houses across South India.
What You'll Do
- Analyze architectural layouts and propose structural systems suited to soil conditions and span requirements
- Prepare column, beam, slab, and footing layouts coordinated with architectural floor plans
- Run basic structural calculations for residential loads using standard codes (IS 456, IS 875, IS 1893)
- Produce structural drawings and details for integration into the master drawing set
- Review contractor queries and provide clarifications during the construction phase when needed
- Coordinate with architects and drafters to resolve clashes and maintain drawing consistency
- Maintain project-wise structural documentation and calculation records
- Stay current on local seismic zone requirements and material best practices for residential builds
What We're Looking For
- B.Tech/B.E. in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 0–2 years of experience in structural design (internships and project work count)
- Working knowledge of STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or equivalent analysis tools
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for structural drafting
- Solid grasp of RCC design fundamentals for low-rise residential structures
- Detail-oriented with ability to work within project timelines
Nice to Have
- Exposure to varied soil types and foundation systems common in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu
- Experience coordinating with architects on integrated design delivery
